WhatsApp sees 70% drop in ‘viral message’ forwards after applying limits

Earlier this month, WhatsApp introduced a new ban that would allow WhatsApp users to send a large number of viral messages to five people at once. The move by WhatsApp was aimed at curbing the spread of misleading news.


The company says the move has had a major positive impact.This has reduced the spread of viral messages by 70% in just two weeks. WhatsApp considers any message to be "forwarded" more than five times.


By the time WhatsApp set a limit of five people to forward messages, the number of messages forwarded to WhatsApp had dropped by 25 percent.now people are more concious about this fact beacuse whattsapp has baned some tricks and short link on whattsapp  which decreased the whattsapp traffic
